Matalot uses categories in order to let you organize your tasks into conceptually different groups. Categories have two main advantages:

	* They let you, the user, organize your tasks the way you wish, and...
	* They let Matalot know how you organize your tasks.

[Current screen]

If you don't see the white rifle sight as seen above, and instead see a gray empty circle, this means you disabled location services. Matalot respects your settings and doesn't attempt to make any location lookups if you disabled the location services. The gray circle is an indicator for that.

Does Matalot sync with service X?

No. Matalot currently does not sync with any other service, including iCal and Outlook. We're aware of the need for syncing services and are actively working on it.

Does Matalot have a backup service?

If you use an iPhone or an iPod Touch, you should always back up your data using iTunes. For more information on how to do this check out this page.

Matalot's unique approach to task management relies heavily on your physical location. Whenever you reach a new location, you can save it and assign it to one or more of your categories. When you'll be at the same location again, Matalot will then show you tasks that are only relevant to this location.

With Matalot, you can assign a priority to both tasks and categories. When filtering relevant tasks, Matalot takes into account the priority of tasks and their categories. A task's priority is defined as the priority defined for the task plus the priority of its most relevant category.

You can create a task from three locations:
